Message	: what will fit : also can you explain how tires are measured : 245/45/17 : I know the 17 stands for 17" : thanks : DRIZCOL 245 mm = width 45 = sidewall aspect ratio (245 mm x .45 = 110.25 mm of sidewall) -- since you have two sidewalls, multiply that by 2 (110.25 x 2 = 220.5 mm). You have 25.4 mm per inch, so 220.5 mm / 25.4 mm/in = 8.68 inches of sidewall. Add 17" to 8.68" and you have an overall diameter of 25.68". note: 245/40/17 is the correct size. Stock 225/50/16 is 24.86". 245/40/17 is 24.71", closer to the stock diameter than the 45 series. Later, Phuong Rice Land
