You have 25.4 mm per inch, so 220.5 mm / 25.4 mm/in = 8.68 inches of sidewall. Add 17" to 8.68" and you have an overall diameter of 25.68". note: 245/40/17 is the correct size. Stock 225/50/16 is 24.86". 245/40/17 is 24.71", closer to the stock diameter than the 45 series.
